On your first visit, Karen will the take time to listen to your story and get a general sense of why you are seeking treatment. You will receive a thorough assessment including looking at posture, range of motion, identify any movement patterns that are not helpful, and strength testing depending on the diagnosis. The remainder of the 90 min. session will be hands on work, usually lying on a treatment table with desired amount of sheet or blanket. It is helpful to wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing in layers and avoid wearing jeans. It is recommended to bring or wear shorts and a tank top. A home program may also be given on the first visit. A plan of care will then be established and together, with Karen, decide what frequency will yield best results.
